Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Overseeing the overall development and health of the application, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining the full application stack including AWS, typescript/NodeJS, React, Redis, Postgres Pulumi.
  • Recommending and deploying changes to the application to ensure it is fit for purpose and provide support through production and post-implementation.
  • Engaging in software architecture design and design patterns.
  • Collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders, including various vendors.
  • Shaping the definition of product features and engaging in workshops with customers and other teams.
  • Ensuring safety measures are in place throughout the development of the application.
  • Clear concise technical documentation which includes but is not limited to creating and maintaining runbooks and end user documentation.

Qualifications/Competencies:

The individual in this role will have:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in DevOps, coding and software engineering with a thorough understanding of the AWS Cloud Environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with CI/CD integration and compliance: AWS code build, code deploy, code commit, code pipeline.
  • Experience with mobile development and pipeline is considered an asset.
  • AWS training and certifications considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with the Microsoft technology stack (including integrations) is considered an asset.
  • A collaborator and stakeholder-focused approach to teamwork.
  • Strong ability to deploy software with ongoing operations experience, including monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
  • A courageous problem solver that can analyze and breakdown complex problems to seek out viable and innovative solutions.

Experience

Required
  • 5 - 7 years: Experience with mobile development and pipeline is considered an asset
